| I think this was my fifth time to attempt to find the route or climb the mountain, and finally made it. I hiked from Cotahuasi, took two days to get to the base/high camp and then 1 hour and 43 minutes from there to the summit. After spending about 30 minutes on top, including checking out a sub peak, I was back in camp in exactly 3 1/2 hours. | |

| I have finally found the route to Firura but again didn't allow enough time to reach the summit. Climbed with fellow SPer Kathie Wager. We Got to the summit ridge just before dark, and then it got so cold we turned back short of the summit. | |
