I remember that the Aiguille Verte was used in a technicolor motion picture to depict the" White Tower." This movie from the 1950s starred Glenn Ford, Valli, his love interests, and a sinister Nazi superman played by Lloyd Bridges. It was adopted from the novel, "The White Tower" by James Ramsey Ullman. Lloyd Bridges died in the movie when he spurned the helping hand of Glenn Ford and fell ingloriously to his death.
