Good basic clean page. Names of Guiding companies and route information with some sort of detail would improve things. Attaching the images to the page would help as well.

hey tbnelson, your email address does not work anymore....you might want to update. Also, the Nuptse page sig photo link is broken. If you don't want the Nuptse or Vinson page, then you can send it my way. Thanks and I will delete this soon.

Good start, but lacking detailed information. Route details, links to guiding companies, contacts for arranging flights, etc would be nice. Also would be good to see some of the photos linked into the main page.

I second Brice's comments word by word and therefore the vote will also be the same.

Instead of flying from Punta Arenas, you can fly from Ushuaia a more southern town in Chile. It's also cheaper and shorter to fly from Ushuaia to Antarctica than from Punta Arenas. Ushuaia is the port of entry to Antarctica for most people.

No, you can NOT fly from Ushuaia to Vinson Massif and it is certainly not cheaper or shorter. There are no scheduled OR charter flights from Ushuaia to Antarctica. Aside from ALE (replaced ANI) who can fly pretty much anywhere, the other companies flying to Antarctica are DAP in Punta Arenas, who fly only to the Peninsula/KGI and ALCI in Cape Town who only fly to Queen Maud Land.

Damien, ignore this guy.

He has posted fake made up trip reports, bogus beta, an made nasty comments on photos and wrote nasty messages to some members whom have called BS on his submissions. He has no credibility, and I seriously doubt he has been to Antarctica.

Wouldn't mind taking a crack at this myself. Better stock up on the sub-zero wear!

AlpinistMore detail needed on Mt Vinson

Voted 4/10

The Vinson page needs more detail to be useful. It does not contain nearly enough information to help someone that is serious about climbing the peak. It needs:

-Names/contact info for flight transportation
-List of guide companies
-More detailed route information
-Are supplies available anywhere out there?
-Are there any guidebooks in print?

Some of this info may be available on the web, but it should be included here on SummitPost so people don't have to go searching elsewhere for it.

ezaNice page, but...

Voted 7/10

I think Vinson does deserve a little bit more... The info looks rather complete, but some strategically placed pictures could do a lot for the esthetical aspect of the page. I know, there are not many pictures of Vinson in SP but I just wanted to let you know...

Sorry mate, but it's just to short. It's on the seven summits list, so it has priorety. You need to add more. It is a good oage with some good facts, but not enough or anything like what you need.
