again yes it is. I miss it. I´ve taken the page over and I´ll have to dig out a few old slides of the area.

I've only been either north or south of this area, the closest is hiking in the Southern Uplands in Scotland, but I imagine this is a bit similar landscape?

a little bit. But the Lake District has a character all of it´s own. It has many landscape variations all crammed into a relatively small area. There is also some damned fine rock climbing in the Lakes, again it´s one of those seminal places for British rock climbing. I´m visiting a friend near there in a few weeks! :o))

thanks for the vote. And yes it is a super "little" mountain, steeped in history and good rock climbs.

Thanks for your vote meg, hope you will get to the highest mountain in England soon. My own daughter did it first when she was 9.
