Information on routes and glacial conditions would be very benificial. Olympus is a rather hairy mountain considering the complexity of its glaciers, even though it is barely 8k ft. Considering that there is a 17mile hike to the base (along the Ho river), it would be nice to know what kind of gear is needed to ascend.

The Standard Route (Blue Glacier) is discussed in the Routes section to the left. Info on gear is listed there as well.

If you've climbed other routes on Olympus, feel free to add them (Use "Add a Route" link to the left.)

Perhaps I was being too harsh in my judgement of your page. I was just expecting a bit more info.

Hello Dave,

as your successor on Watzmann page I visited your Mt. Olympus page and I must say, it is a very nice and well informing page from a very attractive summit or better group of summits. I enjoy it.

David, your Olympus page is super-slow to upload. Is this because of your interactive map?

Indeed it is. Map Section removed (was pointing to old SP1.0 URLs anyway)

Great looking page. I just read an artical in Backpacker about Mount Olympus. And between your page and that artical Olympus sounds like a real challenge.

This mountain is so amazing that it really should have a TON more info on it. This is one of the most impressive mountains on earth and could be written about in a lot more detail.
