Its obvious you've taken this adoption seriously Aaron and really added alot of your 'trademark' work. Truly a great page. I really like the maps (have i ever mentioned I'm a mapaholic?) as they really help orient a person who has never been to this area before. You should write travel brochures as you've sold me on wanting to visit and climb this beautiful peak. Awesome work (as usual)
Thanks for hilighting the history and controversy about this great area. It is important information to share. Hopefully the more people that are made aware of the situation will help continue to save this beautiful area. A big Thank You for all of your personal efforts an involvement to save this area. By the way the CD is awesome!
Nice work Aaron! I especially like the historical information you've posted about the area. You're photos and descriptions have caused Holy Cross to get bumped towards the top of my "to do" list and I have already begun to plan a several-day backpacking trip into the area for summer '03.
Favorite peak and favorite area. Holy Cross is hard to beat for sheer, primitive beauty. I try to visit the wilderness at least once a year, although I tend to avoid the approach to Holy Cross. Hope to check out Lake Charles this year.
Since I happen to know that this is one of your favorite mountains, I'm sure it was pretty easy for you to create this excellent and thorough page. Well done!
I have neglected checking out many of the Colorado fourteener pages but I must say I was very pleasently suprised by the excellent coverage you gave my second favorite fourteener. It brought back the wonderful memories of the first time I saw Holy Cross from Halfmoon Pass. Thanks for rekindling the flame.
