Voted 10/10 | :)) I mean last friday, I read the coming friday's date by mistake from the calendar... today it was raining even Comachal if covered by snow now. You are intrested about Tochal's status, well the first snow cover this year was 4th November 2005. I don't know how but Damavand was covered by snow late august. Even lower Takht-e-Soleimans where covered by snow 4 weeks ago or more . Alvand was covered a week later than Tochal, I think the Alborz mountains south to Kandovan are the lasts to be covered by snow in Iran (not including south-west and mid Iran) | |

Voted 10/10 | Interesting mountain. The snow cover pictures suggest that water deptl of Tehran is as interested in the snow Pack as folks in the western U.S. | |

Even in grade school my father and I used to go hiking up to Kolak Chal or Shir Palaa. I used to look at it every day from wherever I was in Tehran. I really miss that. | |
