Looks good. Perhaps use a different signature pic, but this is just my opinion.

Ummm, thanks. I haven't actually done anything to it yet besides add a signature photo. But thanks. Likely, it's going to be a couple weeks yet until I have time to really do this one right.

Nice page Rob and Charles! This is one of those peaks that I keep putting on the back burner. Gotta get there one of these days.

Thanks for your vote. When you do get around to doing Bear Mt., I have a couple of recomendations.

1 make sure it is a clear day. The views are not that great with out NYC.

2 Do something else. The climb from the Bear Mtn. Inn side is very short and if you are going to drive all that way you might as well climb something else. I climbed it with Schunnemunk Mt. because it was right next to the Thur-Way.

Thanks again for your vote.

Thanks for the suggestion. Deep down, I'm thinking that I'm saving it until I get around to doing the Suffern-Bear Mountain trail .... 24 miles, 6K gain. Not only is it a great sounding hike, but you get a patch if you do it in a day. :-)

No not tough, kind of stupid really (me of course)
I went down then up Bear Mountain, at 410 pounds... I do not recommend that to anyone that weight.

Brighter (read lucky) side of things, is that I've lost a crap load of weight, and i do mean that literally, since then.

Gooooooo Bear Mountain!
