Update 25 June 2002: Good job! Biggest thing: how about some route information? Minor thing: can you look for the line breaks in your text and delete them?

Aha...another "Mountain Squatter" ;-)

(I'll re-vote once there's more info here...reply to this msg. when you're finished.)

Update 6/25/2002:

Better!

Some suggestions:

- Basic route info.

- More details on getting there.

- Link to weather info?

Hi,

I've recently adopted Sajama, so hopefully the pages should be a lot more user friendly and useful before too long.

Please do come and browse when you have time.

Thanks!

This page could use some more info on the routes and some photos taken during the climb of this mountain. I see you say that info on routes is coming...when you make these additions let me know and I'll change my vote accordingly.

Ok, the book scripts based on the ISBN numbers still don't seem to be working, so I have added guidebooks manually as a route (see left).

This page is looking better. The addition of the routes and books helps a lot. Keep adding info. The overview section could use some more details. First ascents, history, etc. Good work.

Sorry, but I have to say, this isn't a very good page.

I happily up my vote if you care of some things.

  • Add a signature photo.

  • The entry "BOOKS" shouldn't be in the routes section.

  • The coordinates of the peak are completely wrong. Check the interactive map.

  • Move the info about maps from the overview section.

  • Are you still an active member of SP? It's quite some time since you made any updates.

Plese tell me when updates have been made.

I think the other votes describe the page well: a good effort but needs some more work. Let me know when you update, and I'll definitely update my vote.

This really isn’t that bad of a page, but it could use some minor work/updates.

    Suggestions:

    1. There are some updates/details that should be added to the “Getting There” section.

    2. The signature photo is of Pomerape and Parinacota rather than of Sajama. There are many find Sajama photos on the page that could be used.

    3. Coordinates are off.

not necessary to take a truck to Sajama - not since they paved the road in 1999..

Take any of the several morning busses to Arica - get off at the junction to Sajama village ( 3hrs from La Paz - 30 -40 Bolivianos) - from here you have three options

    1. walk - it's 12 km , great views , no shade
    2. hitchhike - might take 3-8 hrs till the next car comes by
    3. ( if you speak Spanish) - call from La Paz the Entel office (call the Entel hotline for the phone number - any hostel owner knows that number) of Sajama (in 2005 the only phone in Sajama) - tell them when you will be at the crossing and what bus compnay you come with. They arrange a jeep to pick you up - worked just fine with us - cost was back then 40 Bolivianos
