Keeler Needle is a spur about 1/4 mile south of Mt. Whitney, and doesn't really rate it's own page until about 200 other Sierra Peaks are already covered. But it has a great view of Mt. Whitney's East Face.
Looking at your page I'm thinking......this is more than worth a full friday night's drive from Portland, followed by the scramble, followed by a full day's return trip on Sunday!
