Voted 8/10 | I am glad somebody came in and updated this page. Perhaps some more photos, and a short description of the trail, (elevation gain, landmarks - so you don't get lost, etc.) This site still needs some padding. | |

Voted 10/10 | I'm not sure what you mean. The mosquito is the state bird of Minnesota, that's true. There are wolves, moose, and black bear in the North Woods, but only the bears might give you trouble. Terrain ??? | |

Voted 8/10 | Wow. Only bears might give you trouble. Not from the northwoods are you? Bull moose in mating season are animals to avoid!!! As for the terrain, I meant that good boots are a requirement, especially in the spring when snow and snowmelt can cause problems. Hope this clears up your difficulties understanding me. | |

Voted 10/10 | Not from the north woods but spend a lot of time there. Good point on bull moose but I've always been able to avoid moose encounters. In some black bear situations, the bear is seeking you out. Anyway, I agree fully about the "joys" of spring thaw. | |
