Nice job merging these two peaks. Its been fun merging my LCW peaks. Being creative with our pages sets the tone for SP. SP rules!!!

Aaron you never cease to amaze me. I have to say that this page is deffinatly worthy of staying on SP. I think that just because there is a road to the top of a mountain that should not disqualify it from being sp worthy. There are all sorts of mountains added with roads to the top.

I think the history you have added makes it very worth while keeping.

I like to think that SP has room for all kinds of peaks--from technically challenging to peaks that are walk or even drive-ups.

The key, I think, is whether the mountain is interesting. This peak definitely meets that criteria, set in a spectacular wilderness setting and with an interesting history.

Aaron, I think this page works well. I like the history section you added, which is the kind of info that is not present in standard climbing guidebooks.

Your pages are good motivation for me to make another visit to Colorado sometime!

Nicely done.

David-thanks much. Your comments were important in this effort, and a new one. Check out "LittleGiant Peak" which I adopted with the same approach in mind.

This page is much better than it was before. Excellent work. I echo David's comments. I think it should remain.

Without a doubt I like the idea. It is a great work the one that you have made and I believe that it fits perfectly inside the philosophy of S.P. If you find my opinion important, I believe that it is a great page based on a very good idea.

Congratullations.

I ditto Steve Cross's sentiments, in that just because you can drive to the top doesn't mean it shouldn't be on SP. Pikes Peak and Mt Evans, and Antero is a close one, come to mind as two in this category but people still want to climb them right? And if they do, they will need the valuable information SP has to offer - like where to hike so they don't get run over by some crazy driver!!

I echo the sentiments of most. It is irrelevant that the mountain is easily climbed (or driven). Engineer is an important part of the Ouray economy and a popular tourist destination for the area. The point is that if the peak is noteworthy and important, the page should provide valuable information to the seeker. This has been accomplished with the submission of this page.

Definitely keep the page. I would rather some information on a mountain than no information at all. Good work!

Since I'm an Engineer, and since the mountain is my professional name-sake, I'm obligated to climb it. Nice page.

What a fun mountain and area! Now how to decide.... ascend from Engineer Pass and bag three 13ers or take the tougher day up gorgeous-looking Bear Creek? Great work, Aaron.

Hmm. A hard choice indeed. I'll not make a recommendation and leave that up to you. I look forward to the route you submit! Thanks for the vote.

I think I missed this detail the first time I read your page. So people died trying to ascend the road up to Engineer Mountain? Can't say I knew that!

Yep. They rolled their jeeps down the mountain. This is on the (now closed) steep road to the actual summit.
