Just be careful in the summit gully and you'll be fine. I was thinking about you while I was putting the page together. You like obscure places, so I think the Citadel (and Hagar, Pettingell, Woods, Parnassus and Bard) will satisfy you. The beauty of it is they're all close to home! | |

Hasn't voted | Mtntrail2: Thanks for stopping by and for your support! The Citadel is an obscure mountain. I learned about it through the CMC Guide to "Climbing the Colorado Mountains" years ago. It is the only book to cover the lesser known mountains, and not in great detail, I might add. I actually consider SP the better resource for this mountain. Voted 10/10 | Awesome page with excellent route descriptions! The photos showing the route are perfect. The only thing I might add is that I was sure wishing for a helmet when I was climbing the gully with a group of around 8 people. The rock is very loose and we ended up climbing two at a time to avoid being bombarded by stuff from climbers above. | |
