I'm inspired! I can't wait till June. I've always been a little curious about this one. Looks doable.

Kane--

Nice to hear from you! Thanks for stopping by. Yes, you will love this mountain. I think it's definitely right up your alley. Just be careful in the summit gully and you'll be fine. I was thinking about you while I was putting the page together. You like obscure places, so I think the Citadel (and Hagar, Pettingell, Woods, Parnassus and Bard) will satisfy you. The beauty of it is they're all close to home!

Mtntrail2:

Thanks for stopping by and for your support! The Citadel is an obscure mountain. I learned about it through the CMC Guide to "Climbing the Colorado Mountains" years ago. It is the only book to cover the lesser known mountains, and not in great detail, I might add. I actually consider SP the better resource for this mountain. Links have been added to all pages as of November 10.

Great work. Now if only we could get other SP pages to look like this one...

Thanks. If I'm doing it right, an affirmation from my fellow SummitPosters makes it worthwhile.

Awesome page with excellent route descriptions! The photos showing the route are perfect. The only thing I might add is that I was sure wishing for a helmet when I was climbing the gully with a group of around 8 people. The rock is very loose and we ended up climbing two at a time to avoid being bombarded by stuff from climbers above.

I do recommend helmets in the text, particularly for large groups, which should stay close together in the final pitch. Thanks so much for your vote.

-And probably wish you didn't after "Sawatchgate!" Thanks for the vote and I'm glad you and Jim liked the Citadel and think the page is "right on." Your pics are nice additions and make me look good! Thanks for that, too.
