Voted 10/10 | Top of Velebit at the head of Paklenica Canyon. Most underated peak Babin Vrh! Reviewed all the pix again and noted a few from the continental side despite lack of trails from that side! (Does Vrh have the same root as the german word berg?) | |

Hasn't voted | Thank You Mark!! Babin Vrh is great peak. VPP trail traverses its slopes some 15mins below summit but it is rarely visited. I've been up there few times and it is beautiful viewpoint. VRH means PEAK, BERG is MOUNTAIN. I bet this clears lot of names :-) There are few paths which ascent from Lika region on continental side of Velebit but because of possible mines, left over from the independence war in early 90's, they are not advisable to use. If one wants to go there is no ramp but safety is not guaranteed and that is why I didn't mentioned them. Once they are cleared they'll be added. I can’t tell you how sorry I am because of that cause on the continental terrace, below highest peaks, there some very beautiful spots with dramatic panoramas of peaks above. | |
