Excellent text. More pics would be a nice addition. I look forward to more from Mr. Baines.

Can you see Mt Everest from the summit?

Unfortunately you can't see everest from the summit because there is another huge mountain in the way. However one day's walk up the Khumbu Valley and you get to a place called Gorak Shep where there is a lodge to stay in (if you can cope with the altitude) and you can see everest from there. You can also get a great view of everest from a place further West called Gokyo Ri. I went there for a couple of days to acclimatise for my climb of Imja Tse/ Island Peak.

Could be flushed out a bit more but otherwise a good page. Feel free to grab some getting there information from either my Goyko or Everest page. Cheers William

Nice page, but a little more detail in the text wouldn't be bad for a big mountain like this one.

Thanks for the tip - I have done that now. You have increased my knowledge of HTML by 100%. Do you know where I can find a web that lists all the useful things like that?

Here's a beginners course on www.webmonkey.com. I learned most of my html stuff from this site, but just searching a bit in google is often very useful too.

Good luck with it!

Rick
