Voted 10/10 | NIce job. I climbed Mt. Cardigan twice (both in summer), once when I was 13, and again at age 14. The first time we climbed it rained the previous day and I got stuck on exposed rock near the summit, unable to get an adequate foothold. Another kid got stuck, and was in danger of falling, and we had to all together pull him up. I can still remember the scared look on his face! It was the first time I ever got in trouble on a mountain and doubted my safety. You think that discouraged me from climbing? HELL NO! I just posted a summit log recounting my first climb of Cardigan in 1992. | |
