Great page and detail. Like the pics. Put one of them as your signiture photo. I will add a bunch more from one of my evening hikes.

This mountain had a lot of bang for the buck and has the second best view of the Shenandoahs.

Good choice-I confused this with the Hawksbill on the east side of Linville Gorge of virtually the same altitude- good photos a well knit page.

Good page. I have added some photos and info after my trip this weekend. A really fun hike, and some great views.

Nice page, sounds like an interesting mountain. I'm glad more of the lesser known mountains around the country are being added.

..."The north face of Hawksbill Peak is a 2,500-foot drop into Timber Hollow, which is the largest elevation change in the park"

SbrandeSame Summit?

I have photos of a 1993 hike up a 'Hawksbill Mountain' in Shendoah NP - but I remember a fire tower and trees - am I thinking of another summit? If so I will delete my post.

There is no fire tower at the summit, but there are some trees, a shelter, and a summit area that has 180 views.
