Hasn't voted | Muchas gracias Diego! There is one more route, which is not so important. Anyway I'll describe it one day. Now I'm working on new, more important, pages. One is coming up tonight or tomorrow. There are no books unfortunatelly. It is mentioned in Croatian mountains guide but that is only on Croatian so it was not worth mentioning. What is amazing to me is that this book 'Hrvatske Planine' is listed on Amazon but is out of stock. I would like others to sign in SummitLog but it seams I'm the only person from Croatia active on this site (as you are the only Spaniard, seams to me at least) and no one from Bosnia. I will have to advertise the site :-) | |

Voted 10/10 | This is a lot broader than Velebit. What the british call a moor. Its Height is nearly that of the highest Appalachians. Looks as if you had a good visit with good skies. Mark | |

Hasn't voted | Mark, thanks for visiting! Well, Cincar is small (speaking of area) rounded mountain rising above huge karst fields or plateaus of Dinaric Alps which surround it. It is higher than Velebit but much much smaller. Surface of Velebit is 2274 square km while of Cincar is at least 30 times smaller. Velebit is the longest and biggest mountain of Dinaric Alps. Main characteristic of Cincar are huge grassy spaces. When I visited it was October so grass was burned but it is not moor :-) Such thing is impossible in Dinaric Alps because of thirsty karst terrain which swallows all the water. | |
