Great start, but I'd like to see some photos. Let me know when you post some and I'll increase my vote.

Hi Andy-

I'm working on getting some pics added but it will be at least a few days. I don't have the technical capability on my own, but my friends do & they have promised to help me. Please stay tuned; I just started work on this page today.

By the way, an uncontrolled forest fire just broke out on Horton Ridge (a major approach route). I just posted info on it but obviously, the situation will be changing rapidly. Hikers & campers are being evacuated as of 6:00 pm on July 25th.

Thanks for your comments.

Hi Andy-

My friends have helped out & there are now 2 pics of Chimney Rock , Idaho posted....along with new info, incl. the approaches. The page is finally getting more finished; this is my first effort at a SummitPost page & I've been learning a lot about how to do it. Thx for your comments!

Hi Brian--

Thanks to my friends, there are now 2 pics of Chimney Rock, ID posted on my page. This is my first SummitPost page; I've been learning lots on how to construct one. There has been quite a bit of info added (esp. on the approaches) since you visited (when the page was first under construction). Thx for your comments.

Thanks for adding this great peak / climbing area. Good job on the approach info - I was not aware of the Indian Creek State Park approach. It certainly sounds more car friendly.

This is an excellent page Sharon. Thanks for putting in so much detail! Since I can't get a hold of a copy of Idaho Rock, I'll use this page as my guide when I finally make it up there. Thanks.

Hi Martin--

I spent all weekend revising it-- Fred was a great help not only with the pics but he taught me how to put in hyperlinks.

We have Green's guidebook if you would like to refer to it as well as the summit register for 9-01 to 7-95. It has new route info not in Green's guidebook.

Hi Dean-

Thanks for the 4 stars on Chimney. Have you done it yet? I highly recommend it! Great day trip from Spokane. Drive to Spokane from the Tri-Cities on a Friday...drop your wife off at Nordstrom at 6:00 am Sat while you head to Idaho....pick her up again at Nordstrom at 11:00 pm. Everybody's happy!
