Voted 10/10 | I have added quite a few photos if you haven't taken a look at the page lately. The Truchas Peaks are one of my favorite areas. I have climbed Truchas 3 times and have attempted it one more. Stay tuned for Middle Truchas Peak and East Pecos Baldy probably in the next week or so. | |

Pity, but I'm not surprised, because a nearby trailhead (Borrego Mesa) had a similar reputation. I had thought that the rough road up to Quemado Creek would have filtered out most of the riff-raff, but apparently they have penetrated even further than expected. | |

Hasn't voted | Thanks, Aaron. If you haven't already been, you should definitely plan to visit the Truchas Group. Beautiful mountains with very little visitation. My only reservation about posting this peak was that it would increase traffic to such a beautiful, unknown peak. But I can be selfish! | |

Voted 10/10 | Yeah-I had the same misgivings about SP. But then I figured that they will come anyway. We might as well do what we can to protect the mountains, and SP can serve this purpose as well. How's that for rationalizing? | |
