The needed companion to Vestal. Great photos and description. Includes a starry night photo of Arrow. The author shows you where to camp in his photo collection

This is a truely spectacular mountain. Which one did you like better, Vestal or Arrow?

Good photos, I Like the route photos especially. Can't wait to see Pigeon Peak. How about Turret?

I had planned on doing Vestal and Arrow in the same day. The snow on the North side of Arrow slowed us down and we didn't have time to get up Vestal. That's ok though, I plan on doing Wham Ridge soon so that is an excuse to go back.

Arrow is definitely on my list for technical peaks in the San Juans. Good page and thanks for submitting. The route description is excellent.

Great page. I'm familiar with the region around Vestal and Arrow from SP, but had not heard of Weminuche before your response to my vote on East Thorn. I'd love to get out there some time as well... but then again, where wouldn't I love to go?

The Weminuche is the largest wilderness area in Colorado. The bigger peaks on the western side of the wilderness are more crowded. The eastern side is less crowded.
