Hasn't voted | Can't say I was at that point but I sure was glad to see the trailhead and my truck at 7:30 that night as light was fading. Was awfully glad to tip a Gatorade and take the shoes off. Then I had to drive to Acker Rock to meet Mark and Natasha as we had planned to do a 12 pitch 5.7 route the next day. 2 hours to the rock and then another 2 hours going up and down every dead end 4WD road trying to find them as I left the directions on my coffee table at home. Wasn't until midnight I found them on the last road possible left for me to take. Was too tired to make myself a dinner. Had a powerbar and fell asleep in the back of the truck. Perfect end to the perfect day.... :- \ ha ha ha

Hasn't voted | Well, I was so dead by Day 3 that I was not up for it. By the time we did the hike in (an "unimproved scramble"), we all were. Another party of 3 was there before us and going slow and we would not have been able to complete it in the day. So, we just played around on that 5.7 single pitch in that picture. Dirty route but good. Really cool place, I want to go back and do that route, the Peregrine Traverse on Acker Rock. Goes along a ridge from tower to tower until you reach the summit and a lookout tower you rap down to. Nice walkoff too, gotta like that. It's in the Climbing Southwest Oregon book by Orton. Or I think it's on www.climbsworegon.com. I have a bunch of pictures of the first 4 or 5 pitches. Was going to add it to SP if we had done it. It gets you up to a summit and is a cool route. We'll see when I get the chance to do it again. I'm just getting back into it after a few months off so I doubt I could have completed it anyway in the shape I'm in right now. :- )

Voted 10/10 | Yeah, I've seen it in the book and we have been thinking about it a while ago. Your photo makes it look cooler than I had imagined it - photos in that book are pretty crappy. Looks like really fun (steep and scary kind of "fun"!) climbing - would really like to see it on SP.

Hasn't voted | My photo was a nearby sport route, nothing on the Peregrine Traverse. I'll email you a picture of it from home that shows the first few pitches. Pitch 1 was a short like 5.0, then a 5.7 long traverse. Then I couldn't see much but the heads of the group climbing it. But the info is in that book.

Hasn't voted | Will do that tonight. Thanks for your info. I thought about adding the info from Tipsoo Trail but forgot last night. And, I also checked out the west or northwest side of the pinnacle. Will incorporate your info tonight. Thanks.

Hasn't voted | Thanks, appreciate the vote. Do yourself a favor, do Tipsoo first and go cross country from there to bag this one. It's shorter, you start higher and you get to bag two peaks. Although if you want a long day on the ridge with great views, the way I went was fun too. Hope you do this one either way. Enjoy.

Voted 10/10 | Great page, Brian! Here's one you're going to make me climb. Any excuse to get back to that area, though. Don
