Hi Sean,

The unnamed saddle (John Robinson uses your term, too) you refer to in both your driving directions and routes is often refered to as the Kratka Ridge trailhead. Kratka Ridge is actually the ridge across the highway from where you park as if you were proceeding northbound on the PCT.



Glad you adopted this mountain. I've done it just about every way and season possible.



One other thing you may want to add is that bighorn sheep sightings are fairly common in this area. I've run over that trail a gazillion times and have seen them often on the steep sections above the tunnels.

Also be sure to make sure you climb the mountain on a calm day. Winds on the ridge and peak can gust up to 75 m.p.h.
