Hm? Bamberg route is not the southeast ridge. It is the NW ridge, the final section coming to the top from SW. From SE the route from Planika hut comes. And both of these routes are opened and well maintained. I mean - now, in winter - it's hard to say that they are opened. They are under snow and the ascent is a hard climb. But in summer they are normal ferratas.

Is the southeast ridge route onto Triglav in Slovenija still open? I believe it is called Bambergerjeva pot.

It would be nice if there was some explanation of the mountain-hiking path categorisation which exists throughout Slovenia.
This appears nowhere, on none of the range, mountain or route pages.
There is no mention of the fact that paths are classified in 3 different difficulty grades,
allthough this appears on the maps and on the signposts throughout the mountains.

Well...
You are a maintainer of so many pages.

That's true, but maintaing a Julian Alps page I guess doesn't mean that I must translate and post all Slovenian mountaineering policies and instructions. Everyone can do that. And, to be honest, I even don't know what's the classification of Slovenian marked paths. When we went on Peca, it was written "zelo zahtevna zavarovana pot", and that easy ferrata wouldn't be rated "medium" in some other country. That's misleading, so I am consistently rating routes which I am posting according to the "Bergsteiger system", which I described in a separate article.

For someone that writes so much about our Alps you really are not informed!
Not only does the Alpine Association create and maintain routes and huts (in the mountains, de facto), but it publishes guides, maps, etc...

But you know this. You just seem to want to ignore the incredible work the alpine club and its members have done and still do.
A visitor is confronted with the actual reality. Some explanation is due on SP pages.

And yes, an owner such as you are, and such as Bor is, should do more maintenance.

Btw: not a single trailhead is really described.

Dear Borut,

First: In comparaison to others, I am maintaining my pages far better than the average. And, I agree, still not enough. That is why I gave in the past editing rights on many of my pages also to others, who know the area - too many to name them all. So, regarding maintaining my pages I want you to know this:

1. Everyone can let me know if information is wrong. And in that case I will certainly correct it. You know that from your personal experience.

2. Everyone can add information. In the form of comments, additions & corrections or even independent pages. Such information will be incorporated into my pages, or left independent if there are such pages.

3. Everyone can get editing rigts for my pages. In the beginning I want to make sure that they are improving, later those collaborators might get full rights over pages. So far there was no interest for this, except once, when I gave away Mangart page to Vlado.

So, you are free to constructively contribute. I'm happy that you started to post you own pages, but you are welcome to improve also my pages. Be concrete and focus on important issues. For example, I don't understand your comment: "not a single trailhead is really described." Where? On this page of Julian Alps? Just generally? I can list you many of trailheads of my routes which are described. So, be specific, please.

Cheers!
Vid

Specifically?
What would you do if you were in Bovec and you would like to take a look at the Rjavina N face?

But I guess you are right: I should just my mind my own business.
