Very nice page on a pleasant mountain. I realy like your photos of the snow draped cirque. Horseshoe Mountain has another distinuishing feature... It is one of the few high summits in the Mosquito Range composed of the Leadville Limestone. This marine sedimentary rock gives the cirque its stratified appearence. From a shollow sea to 13,000 ft... ah I love geology! Good job. It was nice to meet you on Guyot.
