Voted 10/10 | I am curious if the midges would be bad in mid-June. i hoping to fly into edinburgh and then head north. Are the Cairngorns midge-free ? thanks for any advice cheers | |

Hasn't voted | Peter. In a word, yes. The midges will be bad by mid June, though less so than July and August. Don't let that put you off! Just come prepared. The Cairngorms do tend to be a lot less midgey, especially up high in a dry spell, though still far from midge free in the summer. | |
