Cool page. Long time to wait for this one. Enjoyed the pix. Please change the longitude to negative and west.

Hi

Thanks for the feedback. I've had a go at changing the lat/long, but to be honest I've never understood them. So the update could still be wrong! Please let me know...

All right! My day has been made...and it's only 10:35AM. Dan, you must have seen my comment to Antony here.

A topo map of the Cuillins would be really cool.

Glad you like it. A topo is a really good idea - thanks. I'll sort something out when I get round to illustrating the page.

Excellent page and well written - enjoyable to read. Get the scanner, and the page would be complete.

I like the style of your writing and the page itself. It almost makes one forget the challenges of Skye weather and just go and do it. Great job, Thank you for posting.

I am curious if the midges would be bad in mid-June. i hoping to fly into edinburgh and then head north. Are the Cairngorns midge-free ? thanks for any advice

Peter. In a word, yes. The midges will be bad by mid June, though less so than July and August. Don't let that put you off! Just come prepared. The Cairngorms do tend to be a lot less midgey, especially up high in a dry spell, though still far from midge free in the summer.
