Entertaining write-up! (as well as informative.) The headers were especially clever & eye-catching.

Nice page. I didn't understand the "Get Real" segment. It's amazing how many ways 9-11 has affected our lives. Thanks for posting.

The whole "SP Police" schtick is a bit of an inside thing for the heavily active folks here at SP. I added some helpful references to the section.....

Oh, another of those snow-free desert peaks, ripe for an easy winter ascent! Wearin' white camo, were you?

Creative.

You did not write why this peak is off limits. I think this is important info that needs to be added

Hmm.....the peak is off-limits because the military says so. I don't question exactly why. I thought the references to 9/11 security were adequate. What would you suggest?

I don't think I read close enouph. I noticed that in the "get there" section you mentioned that the military owns the mountain. Good enouph.

IAM GLAD TO FINALLY SEE MOUNT GRANT ADDED TO THE LIST, THIS IS ONE OF NEVADA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL LANDMARKS. HOW FAR CAN YOU SEE ON THE HORIZON? CAN YOU SEE MT. CHARLESTON OR MOUNTAINS IN SOUTHERN NEVADA FROM THE SUMMIT?

I don't beleive that you can see Charlston, due to some of the ridges in Esmeralda County. However, I am pretty sure that you can see the Kawich Range on a clear day. The view to the north is quite extensive, but usually tainted by poor air quality. If you got a day with no air flow from the west, I'm guessing you'd be able to see 170mi+ to the north. Thanks for the comments!

Get while the getting is good. Well chosen peak 56 miles NNW of Boundary Peak. Any Bristlecone Pines?
