Hasn't voted | Thanks Livio. It's the name of the rock shoulder that dominates the Comino bivouac hut. The actual height is 2873m (unnamed) according to the new "Monte Bianco - Courmayeur" 1:25000 map published by "L'Escursionista", who's incidentally probably the most up to date MB map around as far as the Italian side goes.
The name "Mt. Vert" is completely unofficial, and was given by the climbers who first created some rock lines here in the 80s. I think that the only guidebook using it is the 1990 AC "Selected Climbs" compilation edited by Lindsay Griffin. Personally I liked it and so I used it! |
