It's under construction but this will become a 4 star page without any doubts. It's one right now !

Thanks Stefan! Did you see the coordinates on your Dolomite pages? I posted them as additions to the overview sections :-))

If you want you can already activate the link on the map. I'm not sure how far I'll get until the weekend when I'll leave for Sardegna (two weeks). Let's see....

Thanks Tim. I had the idea of doing this the night before last - and here it already is. I'm amazed myself ;-))

After a basketball game and a few beers I finally found some time and went through this comprehensive page. I admire you - took the hardest piece of Dolomites and - voila - a great page again!

Thanks,

the fact is that the book (Alpenvereinsführer) is Very Good so that the list of summits has been rather easy. The remainder is just as easy if you like the group ;-) And Pale di San Martino have many more Rifugios.....

Hi Beppe, I finally included the links to your panos on the Becca d'Aver page. Have a look

Well done. I'll have to publish pano shots I took on November sunset. All another quality; I find those ones flat, inespressive.

Next half-an-hour free ...

Ciao!

great page, well structured, and a big piece of work!

What I would mention in the overview is the - popular - possibility to combine several "vie ferrate" to a trip of several days.

Thanks, Mathias - do you have info on which ferrate are combined? I'm sorry to say that it is the first time that I hear of the tour :-( I would imagine it starts at Rotwand, gets down all the way along the Elfer subgroup - turns to Zwölfer and then to Paternkofel. But probably the Cadidni group is part? (btw. I never understood why we counted them among the Cortina Dolomites...)

At the time (1999) when I was there I didn't do ferrate - fear of heights (more or less overcome now)

I kept this magnum opus of yours for the weekend to have the time to savor it. Outstanding job that shows a true passion. Not that these mountains do not deserve it. Though my heart is (guess where?) in the Brenta Group, I can't argue with those who like this area best. Thanks!
