Unfortuantely, with some exceptions (such as the NE ridge) most the trees are now dead around Parkview Mountain due the pine beetle epidemic. Only the highest ones have survived.
Anyway, during windy conditions one should think twice about climbing the mountain via any route (except for possibly the NE Ridge) since trees can come down at any time. Calm conditions should be fine, but watch out during windy conditions!
The Northwest Ridge and routes from Willow Creek Pass seem less affected and have much less dead trees, but the east and southeast sides are almost completely dead.
