Good variety in the pictures-seems to be a high mountain for Norway and somewhat far north because I don't see any small birches. Can you add the longitude(E) and latitude(N)?

Nice page. Aren't the mountains of Norway the same age as the Appalachians?

I hope the Norway list will expand in the near future :-)

I have no mountains in Austria, except Zugspitze that I climbed from the Austrian side last year. A nice walk with some fixed ropes here and there. But it was disappointing to reach the summit and see all those "lazy" non-climbing people up there :-)

I'm going back to Austria this year. Do you have any recommendations on mountains to climb? It must be maximum AD+ and no dangerous crevasses because I'm going solo !!

I'm thinking about Grossglockner. Do you think it's wise to go solo there?

Thanks!!

I think I've been surfing for 20 hours on SummitPost the last two days. This is the perfect place to get new ideas and plan future climbs. (I'm heading for the Alps next week, a 2200 km drive from Norway, 20 hours on the motor highways)

US is a wonderful place too. I just love Colorado. I will return to collect more 14'ers, especially Pyramid Peak that I had to drop last time because of a tight scedule.

Excellent first effort, Lyngve. Isn't there any web page, where you can get weather information on Jotunheimen? But that's the only thing that is "missing". Keep posting - especially give us more Norwegian stuff ;-)

It's not that far north, it's between the 61:st and 62:nd. Norway is lovely rugged and at the same time a mellow land.
