Voted 10/10 | You'll proably say that I'm too early to vote - and I would like to see the pictures - but what you have right now already exceeds the average four star page. There is a glitch with underlining but you'll figure that out ;-) The description is beautifully written - only some articles are missing. I had a discussion with livioz last month - Italians and Germans tend to put too many articles into the english text, slavic language people use too few. I assume from my knowledge of Russian, that your language usually doesn't need the articles. Anyway this is no criticism, I'm just wondering aloud. I'm not perfect in English myself, livioz always corrects my pages :-))) Keep up the good work - and good luck with your book project(s).

Voted 10/10 | I did not know that Bobotov Kuk was so far south of Velebit. Quite a bit more compact but looks divided up by canyons and is dramatic. Oops got to check out the next 4 pix that you just posted!

Hasn't voted | Thanks Mark very much!! Yeah, it is quite far down. With 5 other friends I've been on a trip in Bosnia and Monte Negro for 9 days, of those 9 6 on Durmitor. It is so beautiful! Durmitor was in my country before Yugoslavia dissolved. I wanted to visit it when I was 15, everything was organized but then situation began to deteriorate (1990-1991) and all was canceled. Finally my dream came true this summer. I expected a lot from Durmitor, knew it like I've been there 10 times already but still I was surprised with what I saw. Whole Monte Negro is fantastic but Durmitor area is top. It is hard to compare it with Velebit, they are completely different and so valuable (both protected by UNESCO). Durmitor is certainly much more dramatic, canyons around the mountain are amazing. But as I wrote in Durmitor section of the page those two mountains with Julian Alps were probably most beautiful in ex YU.

Hasn't voted | Thanks Martin, very much!! It took me almost 2 weeks to write it. Well, in some other season it would probably be more quickly but who can resist the sea fun :-)

Hasn't voted | Thanks Britt, very much!! Glad you like the mountain, but on the other hand it is not possible to dislike Durmitor :-) I dreamed 15 years about it before finally getting there and it was more than worth it!

Voted 10/10 | Vid, I have always loved your stuff man. The one shot you have that has around 15 4-star votes, I posted a link to it when it had 2 votes on the Rockies board under "kick ass photos!!" A few of your shots really deserve 5 star status.

Voted 10/10 | A small, but important mistake - here the author is Sasa (Velebit).

Hasn't voted | Thanks Kane, very much!! I have same appreciation for your stuff, everything is high quality and that is how it should be on SP! Now I understand why that photo has so many votes, you posted the link after your voting so everyone who opens the page gives 4 stars :-) One more thing; it is not Vid but Velebit (Aleksandar)

Voted 10/10 | Dear Sasa, I'm speechless! You're like a deep carst source. Time to time giving us generously big amounts of all the best stuff you hide in periods 'in-between bursts'. Thanks once more for this rich page!

Hasn't voted | Dear Vid, I'm equally speechless to such comment, thanks very much!! Few more Durmitor pages are coming up but it takes some time to write all. This Friday I’m going on a 9 day trip to Macedonia. Hopefully weather will serve and I’ll get some good shots. Then new pages are coming up. As far as Velebit is concerned and parts that haven't been covered yet I have so many great shots of them but probably won't post any more pages till I know where I stand with the book. It's too dangerous :-)

Voted 10/10 | I wish you nice climbing in Macedonia. What are you afraid of with Velebit? That someone can steal you the text? That might be dangerous, not stealing pictures. So, how far are you with your book? It's a great project. You have all this written in English. Will it be in English? Do you have a publisher?

Hasn't voted | Yes Vid, I'm afraid that someone might steal the text. So without pages I can't post photos of various areas. I'm not afraid that someone will steal photos because nothing can be done with 640 pixels, thank God :-) I'm quite far with the text but there is still lot to be done, I have to explore some pathless areas. I'm hoping to finish it by spring. I didn't do much since June because I was all over and quite busy with other things. I still didn't look for publisher, I will during the winter when much of the text will be written.

Voted 10/10 | So, post only a short text and pictures :-) And a short comment that the long text will appear later. If you publish the book, will you be allowed to post the long text on SP :(

Voted 10/10 | And perhaps one more idea. You can insert in your text a secret code. For example - every 5th word in a chapter, taken in a row, would give you a sentence. Something that only you could uncover if your text was stolen. But this is sort of silly. Hm? Anyway.

Voted 10/10 | Great Aleksandar! An exceptional page we all have been waiting for. Only for one important (to me) question I did not find an answer on your pages: Many towns you describe on your pages (espec. in Croatia) bring up memories of the cruel war more than 10 years ago. Still there are whole villages and many houses destroyed. If you go into the mountains, isn´t there still a threat of land mines? I have read that there are still some million mines buried in Ex-Yougoslavia.
