Unlike Colorado, where the pine forest goes up to 11500 ft, the forests here ended at about 7500 ft, just where we started hiking. During the 8 days that we were in the mountains, we never went below 12300 ft. Hmm, I wonder what the tree you're growing looks like. | |

Hasn't voted | Thank you for all your votes and interest. Many people climb in this area but they usually do the highest peak of the massif: "Alam Kooh" or its nearby peaks. The lower peaks or those farther away from Alam Kooh get very light traffic. Travelling to Iran and to this area is actually very easy. The tour company that I mentioned in the main page (or one of the many others found on internet) should be able to do all your paper work.
