I think we have a new world's highest peak! 32,454 ft!

The Warner Mountains are a range I have wondered about. I must say I thought they would be more rugged.

Weird, I had entered the correct height for the mountain and now it has grown a lot, making it a must do for all mountaineers and peak baggers.

The "secret" of the Warners will now replace Whitney as the highest in the lower 48 as I'd assume that Denali has also gotten taller. ; )

Thanks Paul for the vote.

The Warners were totally unknown to me until I did this peak. Actually, I had put in the correct elevation in feet but for some reason it got transposed by an unknown force. Thanks for the vote and the comments.

Nice work. This is a part of the state I've yet to visit, although I've wanted to for a while now.

Thanks Matt for the vote and comments. I'm a big fan of yours as you have chased after the SPS peaks this year. Congratulations on getting 100 of them, truly a fantastic feat. I just noticed this on Sierra Scrambles.

Thanks. I've been amazed by the variety of peaks you've summited and posted on here, too--seems you really get around! I imagine Bob and I will try to knock off some more CoHPs this winter, since we covered a fair amount of the Tahoe area last winter.

It was another Bob, Bob Bolton that got me interested in chasing county highpoints and I have had so much fun doing them. 4 trips to Idaho, 3 trips to California and one recent one to Utah have kept me busy. Next month is a trip to Nevada for a week.

Next summer I hope to spend more time in my real love, the Sierras. I grew up in So Cal and the Sierras were my 2nd home but I wasn't into peakbagging then, just backpacking. So next year its going to be No. Pal, Lyell, Ritter, Parsons etc, as they are all on my agenda (county highpoints). I also need to finish Whitney via the Mountaineers route.

Recently I've started chasing prominence peaks too, there are 57 of them in the lower 48 and I'm enjoying chasing them as well. 16 down, 41 to go.

Keep me posted on your cohp efforts with Bob, I know from his reports that you guys have done many together. Take care and keep having fun.

Thanks Bob, is this a county highpoint you've done? If not, plan on getting Hat Mtn at the same trip cause its a long way from anything.

Very very nice page! This looks like a beautiful mountain. The 16 miles roundtrip looks well worth it for the view from the summit! Great job and have a good one!

Thanks Britt, your kind words are appreciated. This is an interesting but very isolated area. A long drive from anywhere but not for the for the 22000 Rainbow people that had encamped just a few miles from where I spent a nice quiet two nights in the campground I was at.

Thank you, I appreciate your vote. This is indeed an unknown area for most people as it is in an isolated part of California.
