Always wondered about this mountain that lends itself to the Sleeping Bag makers! Looks pretty interesting.

Good one with great pictures. I'll have to give it a try. From what I've seen, Big Agnes is better than Zirkel, and Pt. 11,911 (North of B.A.) beats them both. Your "Sawtooth Range" picture adds some additional variables to an equation that can only be solved by a return to the area. And then there are the southern peaks of the Park Range. Those look good too...

Thanks for the vote. Your great photo was the inspiration for working on this page! Yes that Sawtooth Range is intriguing for sure. I had forgot about it until I pulled out my slides. A project for next summer? See you around.

I think that's actually Point 11,811. It looks like it would be the high point of the Sawtooth Range, doesn't it? A fine looking peak either way.

Nice read! I almost started to research who Big Agnes might have been. But then I just could hold myself back ;-)

Not likely that I will be up that far any time soon but who knows, looks like a place I would like with its solitude and some sawtooth ridges. Great page.

Thanks for the vote. Holy cow, I've been someplace in Colorado where you haven't been! My last visit to the Zirkels was in the early 90's. There was still solitude then, hopefully that is still the case.

Hehehe. Yea, northern Colorado has been a little too far for me to get to.
