
Voted 10/10 | La Mutta is difficult to translate. The Italian word "Mutta" ("La" could be the article) does not exist. "Muta", without a "t" means "dumb" (female) or, related to a set of dogs, means "pack of hounds". All these transaltion, as you can see, are not directly related to your mountain. It is sure, on the contrary, that original names in German of mountain close to the boundary between Italy and Austria were translated in Italian during Fascism with improbable names, taking into account only the sounds of the words. I'll see to find more information. Therefore, I should not be worried about this and I suggest to continue to call them Demut or La Mutta, as you like.I hope to be clear and I apologize for my english.
