Even in its "under construction phase" it is an outstanding effort.

Very bold move, Dave. I don't know if you've been following the recent to-rah over groups out here in Colorado or not, but there has been great discussion over the nature and neccessity of Groups in America. This was precipitated by my group for the Boulder mountains. Whether or not this is a good model, I don't know, but I see that your page follows a similar pattern and thus I heartily approve. Great job, but I predict you'll get a lot of comments.

By the way, I spent the first 18 years of my life in Shelburne, NH, just ten miles north of Mount Washington and have climbed it and the surrounding peaks in pretty much every season of the year. If I had more photos, I'd put up a whole bunch of mountains in the Carters and Mahoosucs. The Presidentials get all the traffic (along with the Franconia ridge) which is really too bad.

I have a photo on the Mount Jefferson page that might do well in conjunction with the photo above. Good job and I look forward to seeing how this thing (the group and the whole idea of groups) evolves.

Nice job. I like the format you chose.

P.S. The only improvement would be to make the map interactive, but maybe that's part of the construction...

Grouping Craze has reached the eastern US! I heartily approve it since for people unknown to the area groups give the needed overview. Thanks for posting! If you need help with an interactive map just let me know ;-)

It is certainly true that you can hike the entire range. This is obviously distinct from day hikes of the individual mountains, and provides a distinct challenge for any mountain climber! I mean, these are serious mountains, whether you live in New Jersey or New Mexico, Connecticut or Colorado.

I think this is an excellent addition to SP. I just think you should emphasize the concept of hiking the entire range. Keep at it!
