Uh, you did again a gigantic work, Gangolf. This group was a hard one, very broad, so it required a lot of studying. And 12 maps to create! But it's very interesting, because these mountains are so unknown to the broader mountaineering community. Bravo, once more!

Thanks Vid! I'm not quite finished - I need to label my three or four picts. I hope that my maps will come in handy. Those Tabacco Maps are way too small (large?) with 1:25000. What you are looking for is always on the other map. Or worse on the seam between two of them. When I prepared this page ages ago in a hotel room I took all my maps and plastered the whole room with them to get an overview. I had to draw the blinds otherwise those nice guys in the white overalls would have taken me with them ;-)

Holy shit, Gangolf. You have way too much time on your hands. Your SP dedication is staggering. I hope you save some time to go climbing! :-)

Thanks Bob! At this time of the year there's not much climbing (make that hiking) around here. Still I'm burning my last vacation days from 2004 and I had a couple of good ones this week. Otherwise I would have put this one up faster, hehe.

Nothing to worry about but my mental health. Today over lunch I saw Alpamayo in a teaspoon full of cocoa. No alpenglow, though, or I would have taken a picture...

:-)

Thanks Mathias. Over the time we'll have the experiences. The area is just not much travelled...

Wow, another fantastic group page Gangolf!! You are the master of Carnic Alps :-) Only one thing bothers me here; there simply isn't enough maps! ;-)

Yes I have been a little excessive with the maps. But the group is so large that you won't get everything on just one or two. Even Tabacco needs four maps (1:25000) to cover the whole area...

Of course I was joking about the maps Gangolf :-) It is great what you have done, real dedication, and it's never too much of such valuable info!

Another excellent page. I'd be in favor of a change in the scripts so that the vote for your pages defaults to four stars.

No 4 stars by default are no fun. Thanks for the vote and the nit-picking ;=)

What an incredible page again Gangolf!! My advice to people who want info about the Eastern Alps: Forget about the guide books, read Gangolf on SP!
