When it starts snowing in Arizona, are you going to drive to South America for the weekend? :-)

Nice looking page already.

Man, we were just about ready to head south when we saw that steady rain on the morning of day 2.....what a b**ch of a season down there weather-wise!! We were not even supposed to be there in the first place (wanted to go back to Moab but the weather...). There is that place down in Mexico - what's it called "El Portero Chico" (I'm probably slaughtering the spelling here)?

Thanks for the good vote!

PS how's the western WA treating you Martin? Man, think about all the commute time you're going to save in summer when going to N. Cascades!!

It's treating me pretty well so far, thanks. Glad the holiday season is over, and my knee is feeling better, because I haven't been on a mountain in 3 months!

Was thinking of hitting Triple Couloirs, the north face of Snoqualmie, the NE Slabs on the Tooth, or Chair again this weekend, but the weather forecast sucks. Probably some iceclimbing at Banks Lake.

Any local peaks planned for you this weekend?

What happened to your knee Martin?

No, no peaks this weekend. The weather forecast does suck. If Shirley's flu goes away, we'll head out to Smith. Brian (Jenkins) though mentioned the idea of heading out to the Wallowas to do one of the peaks there this winter. We don't have a concrete date in mind yet - kind of figured that whenever the weather window presents itself. Would you be interested in this? Nothing technical - just a snowshoe up some 9000 footer (thinking Aneroid or Pete's Point). Probably would have to overnight it (6-8 miles approach I think).

Yeah, a peak in the Wallowas sounds like fun. I've never been to that range.

I hurt my knee sidehilling on a decent in October. Rockclimbing doesn't seam to bother it, but approaches were painful for a while.

You climbing Hood this winter? What route?

Sorry to hear about your knee. At least you can crag thru. this winter if climbing doesn't bother it.

Don't think we'll be heading up Hood till we get in some more snow/ice training and can do something more "exciting" than the slogs available to us now - thinking about a course this spring.

Let us know if you have any Smith plans (or beer plans in pdx :)

take care.

Excellent page already. It looks like you're still working on the final touches such as the co-ordinates, but it's looking really good.

Utah one week, Arizona the next. Sounds like a good plan to me. Glad to see you hitting all the western states and having fun. Nice page.

Thank you Dean.

Yeah, desperate attempts to escape the rain. Failed on this trip and we only got 1 day of good weather and climbing out of 4!!! NOT a good ratio considering the amount of travel time required :(
