Hasn't voted | The book "History of the Elkhead Mountains places Hahns Peak as the easternmost summit of the Elkheads. The Forest Service also says its the Elkheads. Other than that, I don't know.

Voted 10/10 | Excellent, I think that's exactly what I needed, thanks Scott! I'm pulling that questions from the main vote. For reference, if anyone's interested, here's the question I posed to Scott: "I had a question, though. In working on the list of Colorado's most prominent peaks (I've been working to extend this list this winter.... Hahns stands at #135 on the list, if you're curious), I've had trouble with this area. How to decide whether Hahns is in the Park Range, the Sierra Madre, or the Elkheads has been a dilemma. How'd you determine that Hahns was in the Elkheads? I've been debating over other peaks in the area -- Meaden Peak, Elk Mountain, and Pilot Knob to name a few -- as well, and I just can't see any clear-cut boundaries between these three ranges. Any help would be appreciated! Maybe you've heard from some of the locals as to what they call the Elkheads?"

Voted 10/10 | Very nice. It's amazing how rare E-W mountain ranges are. Seems somehow contradictory... Can't wait to see the non-blizzard conditions photos.

Voted 10/10 | Hopefully you will return in the summer to update the page and make it fully complete for both winter and summer. Spell check your route page....a spelling error at the bottom.

Voted 10/10 | In the spirit of my Jacque Peak page, a better option in the winter than in the summer. Excellent content and well written as well. You seem to have two identical topos posted.

Hasn't voted | Thanks. One map is on the front page and one on the route. When I get back from Massive this weekend, I'll work on that trick you guys do to make the images appear right on the page (I've been reading the threads on doing this) and do it that way. Have a good one.

Voted 10/10 | I assume you meant this mountain range is one of the few ranges that run east to west. The Capitan Mountains in New Mexico and the Ouachita Mountains of Oklahoma/Arkansas also run east/west.

Hasn't voted | Thanks for the vote. I changed the wording to one of the few instead of one of the only to avoid any confusion. There are east-west ranges, but they are uncommon. A few other than the ones you mention are the Uintas (UT), Raft Rivers (UT), Sawtooths (ID), Brooks (AK), Alaska Range (AK), San Juans (CO), and Williams Fork Mts (the range south of Craig-CO). Still pretty rare, but your wording was better.
