Pic # 127702 would be a great signature photo. Nice page and some nice scenery around there.

Thanks Pete. Saved me the effort. I ran across this park by accident almost and was glad I went out for a visit, even if only for the afternoon. A gorgeous area!

Since it looks like the base of the peak is at sea level, that makes it some "bump". A nice little peak!

Neat page Pete, now I realize I missed a fun hike when I was in Morro Bay two years back. Next time, I'll find my way to this neat peak.

A small mountain perhaps, but looks interesting.

Nice page. Good looking mountain. Wondering if you could add some detail on the length of the summit trail (dist. and/or elevation gain or roughly how much time is required...from your description it seems like it's class 1-2?).

The start is about 100 feet above sea level. There's a small dip enroute, not much. The sign in the photo does state 2 miles. It's all class1 again (trail), and it took me an hour in 1998. This time, I did Oats Peak first, then traversed over to Valencia.

My wife lived in the area around 2001 and constantly tells me about Morro Bay and Montana de Oro SP. Thanks to you I can now see what she was raving about. Thanks!
