Good page. If I memember right, this was one of the mountains that was being proposed for a name change a few years back. I guess it never happened, since its still called Squaw Mountain.
Nice page. I remember from the Scotchman Peak page that you climbed Scotchman a week before I did and saw the famous goat. I, too, am originally from Montana (Great Falls)
so this page is of interest to me as I'm going to get back to Montana to spend some time in those terrific mountains.
Nice to hear from someone else from Montana. My mom and grandparents lived in Dutton. Both sets of great-grandparents on my mother's side were Montana area homesteaders around 1910. Guess I am just embracing my roots. Thanks for the comments.
Looks like a pretty dominant peak from this side. Appears to rise about 4,000 feet above the Ajax Ranch(home of some of the 10,000 hay stacks). North east basin looks interesting.
Hey Michael, good job! But by way of encouragement, I'll repeat what I've said before, that you take excellent pictures, and I'd like to see more of them!
Hey I will see if I can put a couple of more pictures up. I have some decent ones, but they are on a very primitive digital setup and may be a little sub standard.
