Since you've climbed it this will be very useful. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Good start and welcome to SP!

I've contacted the page owner and he has climbed the mountain. This is his first mountain too so not bad since he has climbed it. I'm giving suggestions too so the page will be updated accordingly.

I'm not asking you to change your vote yet, but know I'm a little hurt since as the first poster, I think you might have started a trend saying that my page sucks. I just started it last night and spend a bunch of hours on it, and I looked at some of the other brand new mountains on the site and I had posted a lot more than they had so far. By the way, I used the Pine Canyon trail to access the summit via a notch in the east face cliff. When I get my framed photo scanned, I'll add it. Anyway, I edited some previous text tonight, and I plan to keep adding to it, and editing it in the next week or two...and beyond (unless told otherwise!). It's my new project which I'm excited about, yet frustrated by people's remarks so far. I encourage you to check back in a week or two to see if I've made changes that you like. Even better would be to send me an e-mail so I can consider your thoughts while I continually update this. I just joined this site and I'm excited about it, so while I have this new found excitement for a website, work with me, and maybe I can make it a little better..

I never said your page sucks. We have had some people post considerable information on a peak and it turned out they hadn't climbed the peak and were using photos without permission from the author. The page looked good but since they didn't climb the peak and/or were posting pictures that violated copyright laws, not only was the page voted down but the page had to be deleted to protect SummitPost.

Since you climbed the peak, then no worries. I sent you another email.

Nice first effort. As you get your own photos and route and add them, I'm sure your reviews will increase.

Route information is wrong. There is remnants of a forest fire on top.

This guy has lifted photos and information off of another site, and doesn't have any good information. You should adopt this page.

Well, he has some good info, but has he made the changes asked of him?

He hasn't made the changes yet. Some of his information is a little off. For instance he says that it is a bushwhack from Pine Canyon. It doesn't start from Pine Canyon it starts from Lost Mine. I'll adopt it if he doesn't want to.

The route I have described was the same as yours... I did mix up the trail names at the beginning though, so thanks. I never was on a beaten path like i seems that you found, but the signature photo is looking at that lost mine route...

I am giving this page 3 stars because I have seen many pages that have far less information than this rated at 3 stars. But I do have a few suggestions....

Get more descriptive on your sections. Go into great detail. Especially on your "When to Climb" section. For example...How hot does it get there in the summer? Is there available water sources along the trail, at the trailhead, nearby?? When is it the prettiest? I was there in November and the fall colors were beautiful. Use that if you need to. Just throwing idead out there.

It's a fantastic start and could be left alone and still be an ok page. It could use a little "beefing up"...especially for such a special mountain.

Add a signature photo too...that makes the page look more "finished" I always use the prettiest/most unique/etc one...just pick one you like.

Here is a great page to add to the "when to climb" section. Good weather info.

Alan,

Take another look at the page. I think contributions from others have made the page more complete and it looks as if the maintainer has done at least some work to improve it.
