Excellent as always, and with great photos.

And you're not even done yet!

Oddly, we have a fairly prominent skier/climber here in the PNW whose name is Martin Volken.

Your (current) signature shot reminded me of this volcanic block up on Mt. Rainier.

You should send Martin over to La Palma! Martin Volken on Vocan Martin! Just think of the newspaper headlines you could get! Or a talk show with people mixing up the mountain with the man! In all combinations! That would be sartiric heaven! I even would buy a TV set for that one show!

The likeness of the pictures is striking - yours is missing some colours though! I'm just about to post another striking (not quite) resemblance: Teide as Mt. Hood lookalike

Thanks Marcelo! Excel? I don't quite get it why I should use Excel. But the answer is no, I just type, copy and paste. For me it's faster that way. 2-3h for a page.

You mean the weather table? I did that a year ago for another Canarias page and since then copied the table while changing the numbers. But it's text only...

When my friends are trying to talk me into one of those drink-and-bask-in-the-sun-holidays on Islas Canarias next time, I may consider going with them. I'm getting a very clear picture of what I could do there...Thanks for another interesting IC-page!

Great pictures and page, Gangolf. And I thought we had all the good colors out here in the west!

BTW, there was a program on NOVA last night with details about a possible mega-tsumani due to a landslide in the Canaries. Very interesting and horrible scenario: 100 to 300 meter waves in the Canaries; major waves for west coast africa and europe and 10 to 12 meter waves all along the US Atlantic seaboard!! Just a matter of time.

Thanks Don! That day was stunning. We hiked half of Ruta de los Volcanes and the name already tells you what it is like up there. We must have crossed the large crack somewhere but weren't aware of it. Still if you see those huge craters from '49 you readily believe that the eruptions must have been explosive. Crater del Duraznero is impressive in particular. Great colours and a huge hole in the ground. I'll put up the pictures with the (future) Montana del Fraile page

Another good example of what an SP page should look like.

Outstanding page, in fact, if I were to vote on the basis of fascinating reading, this one would be near the top. Bravo.
