Is the elevation gain 6,000 ft. from trailhead to summit?

Good Start. You need more info. If the trailhead is only 6,000 feet, you have 6,000 feet more to climb. You really need to create a route page for a 6,000 foot elevation gain!

Good basic info. Could use a little more flushing out in the route area. Cheers William

5th highest peak in NV. This definitely deserves a spot on SP.

You might consider a little more detail.

For the 5th highest mountain in Nevada, this page needs more info for sure.

Pete, as always, your photos are great, but you need to be clearer about the routefinding and required vehicle to reach the W side trailhead (you NEED 4wd high-clearance and good guessing at the many junctions. There have been washouts this year).

There's also a well-marked trail up the E side in the Hendry's Creek drainage--interesting petroglyphs S from the 4th stream crossing. This one is either a killer dayhike (get going by 7 am) or an overnight trip, and there's a nice little rock windbreak for one (or two close friends) at the very top--also, spectacular views N (to Ibapah Peak) and S (to Wheeler).

Yes, Moriah needs more info, but since most overlook this peak, I wonder who finds this that interesting. The DPS voted "no" on putting this peak on their list, or refused to put it to a vote. In the interests of conservation, it would take lots of fuel to be used for climbers from Southern CA. The whole travel industry is now being overwhelmed by the lack of business, I'd guess, and I really would welcome informational comments to describe the routes and road conditions much better. Ditto on all my peak pages. Name origins never were my forte.
