Klenke thinks this Klek is not drek.

This might be the world peak with name closest to my own last name.

Klecice is as close. How does it sound: Paul Klecice....

Klecice is about as close to my last name, just in a different way.

As far as I can tell, Klek and Klecice are close to each other in geographic proximity too. If I could read Croatian (all of my online searches come up to pages in that language), I could be more exacting.

Hehe, interesting remarks.

Klek you read as its written (klek)

Klecice you read as Klechice (where "chi" is like "ci" in ciuaua dog, and the second c is like "ts" in tse-tse fly.).

So Klek would be much closer in sound to your last name than Klecice. :-)

Thanks also for your vote!

Appears to be a fairly mellow peak

Hi.

It appears to be failly mellow one, but you can pick up from 1 h, to 4 hour climbs, also pass the mountain as a part of more developed net of longer-distance trails in the area, and finally you can concquer it alpinistically - and many people died trying to climb it that way. So "just" 1,181 m can deceive you sometimes :-)

Take care,

Gord
