Voted 10/10 | Neat page. I saw your comment to Pawkala about St. George. I was really impressed by that area outside of Snow Canyon as well. I'd love to move down there some day (my brother has a house down there already)

Voted 10/10 | Storm Mtn resembles Mt Edith Cavell. At least your photo # 158898 suggests that. Nice page

Hasn't voted | Thanks Desainme. You know, I have never been on Edith Cavell. It does seem to be a very popular mt at the Alpine Club though. That probably explains it as I don't do the trip thing much. This pic was taken this year in March from the entrance to Storm Lodge off of 93. I skied up the mt on a horrible day, way too much activity and I had a late start. I was cursing myself for the poor decision making the whole way, particularly as I was skiing downslope on ascent to avoid point avalanches coming down from the left on the final 2000'. When I got to the scree and could look down at what I was skiing under, I really felt foolish. Then, out of nowhere came the cloud you see in this photo, it sent temperatures plummeting and I felt 10 times better about skiing the return, although I still booked. I simply never stopped to take photos and there were so many awesome avalanches occurring on the right cliffs going in with great sunshine to shoot them in. I just should not have been out there, particulary solo. So, despite my policy of never taking photos from the road, I knew I had to stop and take one since I had very little from the route, except for a summit photo or two. Cheers!

Hasn't voted | Saint, I was afraid to even stop and take the camera out this day, it was quite the show though. Avalanches were careening off the steep walls to my right.....I was in a marathon pace, because I knew I should not have started this late....had sun until I reached the summit....was thankful for the storm that moved in to cool off the cornices I had to descend below. Just drove through MT this week,,,,,ran on those trails above Helena on our way to the St George Marathon. That is a beautiful trail system. Thanks Saint.
