"Mountain running" is something that developed after many years of trail running for me- I live on the side of a mountain , so when I run it's always 1000-2000 ft elevation gain minimum. A lot of times I'm going very slow, but it's still running. Then when I have to stop running to hike , because it's so vertical, the hiking actually feels like a relief! It's also allowed me to do 2-3 days climbs and hikes in 1 day (or 2-5 peaks in a day in some cases) |
