Great page! Needs more photos, though, and the mileages from Eureka and Redding don't match in the Overview and Getting There sections. Other than that, lots of good details.

Nice Dirk, I've wanted to climb this peak for awhile. Could I take the dog up this one?

I'm afraid to ask what you mean by "Can I take the dog up this one?"... Do whatever you want in the privacy of your own home, man, but please leave me out of your twisted little world. If you have any normal questions regarding this, please check the "Red Tape" section.

Hee-hee, no, I was wondering if my dog could climb it with me, or if it would be a little too sketchy for her?

The normal trail (I'll put up shortly) would be fine for her- nothing harder than 2nd class to the summit (unless you want to make it harder). Glad to hear you guys got up Dade! -D

With a name like that, you just have to climb it.

The word "bolly" (plural bollies) is also used in Utah to descibe a rounded dome-like mountain above timberline. Such mountains are refered to as high bollies in some areas. I'm not sure where the name came from. I wonder if the words are related somehow? Probably not.

Nice job. I visited this area back in the 70's, and am happy to see this mountain added to SP.

Thanks, Matthew. If you decide to head up there, it would make a great half-hour hike for you!
