This is a beautiful area that I've only seen from a distance. Very nice job with this page!

Thanks for the vote. Yes, it is beautiful. The picture with the flowers is only a 2 hour hike from the trailhead so next time you should at least take a short hike if you are there.

This Coloradoan thinks it would be worth the trip. Like Mount Meeker, next to Longs, being a bit lower than its neighbor keeps the crowds away. But 25 miles RT will do it also!

Thanks for the vote. This was the 3rd try in 3 years. We barely made it this time before the weather moved in. 25 miles RT with heavy backpacks on does keep a lot of people away from here. We were definitely the first of the year.
